Who we are

Analogikal is an app for practising verbal analogies for the Israeli psychometric entrance exam. Data controller: Analogikal, the app's developer on Google Play. Contact: analogikalpsy@gmail.com

What we collect and why

• Email address (and a password, stored only in hashed form) — to sign you in and keep your progress across devices.
• Your answers — which question, which option you picked, whether it was correct, and how long each question and round took. This is the core of the product: it is how the app finds which relation types and traps cost you points and builds your practice.
• App usage — screens opened and for how long, scroll depth, tutorial progress, words you saved to your dictionary, app version and platform. Used to improve the app. No free text you type is collected.
• On-device only — settings, a results cache and a queue of answers not yet sent.

We do not collect location, contacts, photos, microphone or advertising IDs. There are no ads and no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.

Where it is stored and who sees it

• Data is stored with Supabase, our database provider, on servers in the EU (Ireland), acting solely on our behalf.
• Your answers are visible to you and to the Analogikal team. Aggregated, anonymous statistics (e.g. the share of correct answers on a question) help choose questions for all users.
• To display the app, your device loads fonts from Google Fonts and graphics from Spline and jsDelivr; these services receive your IP address as with any web request, and no other personal data.
• We never sell data or share it for advertising.

How we use it

Only to run the app (sign-in, grading, saving progress), to tailor practice to the relation types and traps you struggle with, to improve questions and screens, and to contact you when you write to us or when something material changes.

Notifications

The app currently sends no push notifications and no marketing email. The reminder switches in settings are stored on your device only. Any future reminders will be opt-in and can be turned off at any time.

Security

All traffic is encrypted (HTTPS) and passwords are stored only as one-way hashes. Each user can read only their own data: direct table access is blocked on the server, and correct answers are never sent to the device before you answer. No system is perfectly secure; we take reasonable measures and will notify users of any breach.

Retention and deletion

Data is kept while your account exists. You can delete your account at any time, which permanently deletes all of its data: in the app (Home → account button → “מחיקת החשבון” → tap again to confirm), or as described on the account deletion page. You may also email us to access or correct your data.

Age

The app is intended for users aged 16 and over. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We will update the date above when this policy changes, and announce material changes in the app.
